Get to know me!

I grew up in the Okanagan Valley with an upbringing that heavily revolved around sports and the outdoors. Playing elite level lacrosse for many years fueled my passion for a healthy and active lifestyle which led me to pursue an education in Human Kinetics. I graduated from Okanagan College in my hometown, Penticton, BC. Shortly after graduation, I successfully obtained my Personal Training certification through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology and began training individuals as well as instructing group fitness classes.

Spending a few summers visiting and working for family in Prince George, I fell in love with all that the North had to offer, and made the decision to relocate in 2018. I began working at a local multidisciplinary clinic as a Physiotherapist Aide which further sparked my interest to work one-on-one with people on a deeper level and return to school for Massage. In 2023 I graduated from Pacific Coastal College of Massage Therapy in Vancouver with a 2200 hour Massage Therapy Diploma… 8 months pregnant!

While I had intentions of completing my registration exams alongside my classmates that spring, my partner and I welcomed our daughter into the world instead! My priorities shifted focus knowing education would always be there however, raising our little one would not be. As seasons begin to change and our family dynamic shifts with our daughter growing older, I made the decision to start my own practice - Funktion Massage and Bodywork, taking the next steps towards crushing my goals of becoming an RMT!

In my downtime you can often find me with my nose in a book, out in nature exploring with my family, or elbow deep in home renos with my partner.

Ultimately in my practice my mission is to provide a calm, supportive and inclusive environment while offering a whole body approach to treatment. My intentions are ensuring you leave feeling understood, cared for and ultimately better than when you arrived.
